Origin and info

Sodalite was originally discovered in Greenland by Europeans in the 1800s.  It is a feldspathoid which is known for its blue color.  It can also in rare occurrences appear in grey, yellow, green, or pink varieties along with the typical white streaks or veins.  Commonly confused with Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite does not usually include pyrite which is a common inclusion with Lapis Lazuli.  Sodalite will also often fluoresce a patchy orange under UV light
